Who we are

Widnes Rugby League Museum tells the story of the sport in Widnes. They are the only club-based Rugby League Museum in the country, providing an insight into the history of this fascinating sport and its significance to the town of Widnes as well as the life of a Rugby League player today and the importance of sport in healthy living. The museum is based in the East Stand of the Stobart Stadium and features a wide collection of Widnes RL memorabilia from shirts and trophies to programmes. Education provision at the Museum is connected with the work of the Valhalla Foundation. Education sessions at Widnes RL Museum are unique in their fusion of history and culture with healthy lifestyles. Sessions are available for children from Early Years up to Key Stage Two and excellent provision is available for SEN students. Young people get the chance to tour behind the scenes at the stadium and learn about the life of a rugby league player as well as exploring the collection through hands on and interactive activities
