Who we are

Situated in Bury, Greater Manchester, The Met is a centre of live entertainment noted nationally for its music programme. The venue incorporates two performance spaces, rehearsal spaces and Edwin Street Recording Studio. As an independent charity, The Met works to develop a growing audience to experience the arts, bringing national and international music artists, theatre and comedy to Bury. The Met is organiser and promoter of outdoor events including the annual Head for the Hills Festival.

What we do

The Met is a hub for performing arts, providing drama workshops for children, young people and adults; peripatetic music tuition and access to our professional Edwin Street Recording Studio. We are the home of Bury Youth Theatre, a group for young people aged 9-15 to try new things, extend their drama skills and perform in shows. We also specialise in providing drama workshops for disabled and autistic young people and adults through our Met Express and Aiming High groups.
