Who we are

Stretton Watermill is one of the country’s best preserved working water-powered corn mills. Set in the middle of the Cheshire Countryside it is perfect for illustrating the meeting point of the worlds of the industrial and the rural. All who visit the mill have the chance to see it in action as well as visiting the adjoining nineteenth century stable, which houses an exhibition of the history of the site. Stretton Watermill provides sessions for groups from Key Stage One to Key Stage Four and beyond. As well as their mill tour and demonstration, sessions are available based on rural life, World War Two and Science topics such as Forces and Motion.
