Stem First Lancashire

Who we are

STEMFirst are all about promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) careers, in a variety of forms. They currently hold the STEMNET contract for Lancashire, to link STEM companies together with young people aged 11-19, across Lancashire. Their website acts as a Hub of STEM information and a network hub for STEM ambassadors. STEMFirst engage STEM Ambassadors, primarily recruited from industry, to go into schools and work with young people, around futures and careers in STEM. There is also opportunity on the website for other groups to request an ambassador visit. STEMFirst also run bolt-on stem workshops, “Work Inspiration” events, the Crest awards (Creativity in Science and Technology Awards) and STEM clubs in secondary schools.
