Showtown is Blackpool’s new museum of fun and entertainment, opening in 2022. We celebrate the greatest show town on earth. Showtown puts Blackpool centre-stage and reveal its lasting influence on the nation’s sense of fun and entertainment. What we do

A comprehensive offer will be trialled in schools in Autumn 2021 and then in delivered in Showtown when we open our doors in 2022. Pupils will learn about seaside holidays, create a marketing campaign for Victorian Blackpool, create a circus show, debate about the contribution of Blackpool entrepreneurs and learn about coding through the Illuminations. Showtown and Heritage Blackpool organise the History Network for Blackpool Primary School teachers and deliver CPD.
