Who we are
May Wild Studio is a Social Arts Practice. Rebecca May & Michael Rebecca May is an Artist/Designer Maker, a second careerist originally a Building Surveyor for 13 years before returning to University to study 3D Design specialising in Ceramics and gaining a 1st Class Honours Degree.Michael Wild is an Artist/Designer-Maker and a p/t Art & Design lecturer. Michael studied Fine Art Ceramics at Breton Hall gaining a 1st Class Honours Degree & MA Design - Distinction
What we do
We create 3D artwork/s that communicate the raw materials of the natural and urban landscapes we live in.Combining traditional craft methods with manufacturing technologies we develop new sustainable methods of making that look for a more meaningful connection to the natural world. Our Creative practice is driven by our core values :Handcraft - Nature - Storytelling - Public Engagement-Collaboration We design and deliver workshops that share our knowledge of hand crafting & Design.
