Who we are

HANDSTAND is a well-established and successful documentary film production company with a wealth of experience in working with young people, community groups and schools. Their aim is to give voice to the group members and allow them ownership and authorship of their films. Samples can be seen on the website.

What we do

HANDSTAND works with experienced and trusted industry professionals, who support aspiring young filmmakers in realising their visions. Projects are tailor-made to suit schools' specific needs. Filmmaking can be a vehicle for project-based learning, encouraging immersion in a subject and building transferable skills. It can also be a means to achieving other goals: group cohesion or behavioural change. HANDSTAND also offers CPD for teachers, with the emphasis on hands-on learning.
