Who we are

Bunbury Mill is a beautifully restored water mill standing in two acres of wildlife rich countryside. A mill has existed on the site since 1290, though in 1960 a massive flood ended its working life. The Mill has now been restored and visitors to the site can tour the mill itself and see it come to life during a demonstration of flour being ground. As well as the mill the site itself is situated in beautiful countryside where you can search for wildlife in the pond. School visits to Bunbury Mill include the Mill tour and demonstration as well as several curriculum-themed education packages that can be tailored to your individual group’s needs. Themes covered include Victorian History, Wildlife and Design and Technology. Sessions at Bunbury Mill can be tailored for pupils at Key Stage One right through to Further Education. Bunbury Mill encourages teachers to come and visit the mill before their sessions to chat to education staff, tour the grounds and have their session tailored to their own group’s needs.
