Who we are

53two is a Manchester-based theatre, bar/café and arts charity that exists to support disadvantaged and underserved artists to share, create and play whilst also hosting events and shows in our 100 seater theatre. We are proud advocates of equal opportunities; the venue itself designed with access at heart with it’s lowered bar, accessible performance space and adaptable seating as well as BSL training for all staff. Our mission is to create a fully inclusive, open and purposeful venue for all.

What we do

With our dedicated 'Outreach & Engagement Team', we work with schools and organisations across Greater Manchester offering two types of workshops. Our GCSE/AS/A Level Drama facilitation supports schools plug the gap in the students learning and our PSHCE support works on 53two's four areas for 2021/22: mental health, women's rights, LGBTQ+ rights and race inequality. All sessions are delivered with specialists who are DBS checked and part of our team. We can offer ad-hoc sessions if required.
