Who we are
We are 0282 CIC, a non-profit organisation that helps facilitate projects based on creativity, community and well-being. Named after the traditional dialling code in the Burnley, Nelson & Colne area of Lancashire, we operated for approximately 10 years before deciding to create a formal CIC and associated bank account. Our directors have professional backgrounds in arts development, community advocacy IMHA and Care Act support, and volunteer co-ordination.
What we do
Our work at 0282 is geared at supporting people towards personal empowerment and increased sustainable independence for themselves, their families and their wider communities. We facilitate a variety of creative projects for different demographics, and aim to develop surreptitious support, enabling access to traditionally hard to reach individuals. This had led to the creation and co-facilitation of peer support & activity groups which we are looking to expand upon in light of recent events.
