Calling Bury Schools! Creative Careers and Employability event week

Posted: 16/11/2020

Bury’s Local Cultural Education Partnership (LCEP) is hosting an online careers and employability event in the week commencing 30th November 2020. The week-long event is available to Year 7 and 8 students at schools in the Bury region.

This event is all about helping young people to see the benefits of following creative choices, whether to work towards a career in the creative and cultural industries or to experience the benefits of creativity in other career pathways.

Schools are invited to log into our online platform during this week to view video content and take part in Q+A sessions with a range of professionals from across the arts and beyond. This event is designed for Year 7 and 8 students to help them understand the different career options that might be available to them through arts and culture in the future, the importance of creativity to a range of industries and why creative choices at GCSE and beyond can be invaluable to future pathways.

We are also able to provide a learning resource in advance of the week that prepares students with knowledge of what the creative and cultural industries are and their own creative skills including an introductory video and worksheet.
