Who we are

Ribble Steam Railway Visit the spectacular steam and diesel engines in the Museum, see how they are looked after, and then take a ride on a diesel locomotive on the dock rail line to finish off your visit. With dozens of engines, a visit to the Steam Railway is like visiting Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends – but in real life! The Museum has 2 learning spaces, a miniature railway ride, hands-on displays, as well as a guided tour for schools and a train ride. It is staffed by enthusiastic volunteers who pass on their vast knowledge and love of steam and diesel engines to all who visit.
