What is The Culture Hub?

The Culture Hub is brought to you by Curious Minds to make it easier for staff in schools and youth settings to connect with the resource and expertise available in arts, culture and heritage organisations across the North West.

Who are Curious Minds?

Curious Minds is an education charity based in Preston, Lancashire and working across the North West. We are funded by Arts Council England as one of 10 Bridge Organisations whose remit is to connect schools, children and young people with the great arts and culture across the North West region. 

Our team includes people from across the worlds of culture, education & children’s services, and we are deeply committed to enabling creative and inclusive practice for the benefit of all children.

What is Artsmark?

Artsmark is the creative quality standard for schools, accredited by Arts Council England.
It provides a clear framework for teachers to plan, develop and evaluate arts, culture and creativity across the curriculum and beyond.

What is Arts Award?

Arts Award inspires young people to grow their arts and leadership talents: it's creative, valuable and accessible. Arts Award can be achieved at five levels, four accredited qualifications and an introductory award. Arts Award offers young people an inspiring arts journey. Each path can take a different direction – from fashion to film-making, from dance to design, from photography to poetry. What is SLiCE?

The Specialist Leaders in Cultural Education (SLICE) fellowship is focused on developing a lead teacher’s capacity to strategically support cultural education in their own school and across the alliance.
